Community Connections
We believe that strong community partnerships are essential to promoting a supportive environment for our students, families and staff. By collaborating with local organizations, businesses and families, we create opportunities for shared learning and involvement that benefit everyone in our school community.
Study Connection
FWCS employees from Grile and FACE volunteer their lunch hour each week to tutor our students in reading, providing valuable one-on-one support to boost literacy and academic confidence.
Project READS
Community volunteers meet with students after school to improve their reading skills and foster a lifelong love of reading.
Real Men Read
Male role models from the community visit classrooms to read with students, encouraging literacy and showing that reading is for everyone.
Wayne Readers
High school students from our feeder school, Wayne High School, visit weekly to serve as reading mentors for our 3rd graders, building strong connections and supporting literacy growth.
BOG (Boys & Girls Club)
BOG offers intentional after-school and summer programming that supports our students and families beyond the classroom, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
Blessings in a Backpack
With support from Parkview, this program ensures students have nutritious food to eat over the weekend. Each Friday, students receive a backpack of easy-to-make, kid-friendly meals and snacks.
Love Fort Wayne
Love Fort Wayne is a city-wide initiative focused on strengthening leaders, schools and families. This organization partners closely with our school to support student achievement and teacher satisfaction through intentional collaboration and community-driven efforts.
